A BURNHAM-on-Sea car park is to close for around a week while work is carried out to give it a facelift.
The Berrow Road car park, next to the Swim & Sports Academy and Community Centre, will be getting a revamp and will be closed from Monday, July 17.
The work will involve laying a new surface on the parking area and adjacent footpath and re-marking the parking bays.
The car park will be closed to vehicles for the duration of the work but pedestrian access to the pool and community centre will be maintained at all times.
"Parking permits for Berrow Road car park will be accepted in other Burnham car parks while the work is in progress," said a spokesman from Sedgemoor District Council.
"Sedgemoor District Council apologises for the inconvenience to customers but this work will ensure trouble-free operation of the car park for the future."
