PLANS to build 95 new homes including bungalows in Highbridge have been approved.
Developer Stratton Land Ltd submitted a reserved matters planning application last year to build 59 homes and 36 bungalow's on the former Delta Engineering site on Newtown Road in Highbridge.
The application was granted outline planning permission in December, 2014, for up to 105 homes but Toni Hammick from Property Link, who is an agent on the project, said the developer decided to build fewer homes as they didn't want to 'over-intensify' the area.
Councillors from Burnham and Highbridge Town Council said they supported the project at a meeting last year with one saying they were 'pleased' to see more bungalow's being built.
