POLICE have arrested a 48-year-old lorry driver from Highbridge after a motorcyclist was killed and pillion passenger seriously injured in a collision in Gloucestershire.

The incident happened just before 9am when the motorcyclist, from Stroud, was riding on the A38 in Quedgeley when he was in collision with a lorry.

His passenger, a woman aged 21 from Stonehouse, is being treated in Frenchay Hospital, Bristol, for life-threatening injuries.

The BBC has reported that the 48-year-old from Highbridge was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
