Pupils at King Alfred School with their Duke of Edinburgh's Awards presented to them on Thursday, March 13.
STUDENTS from King Alfred School were presented with varying Duke of Edinburgh's Awards at a special celebration presentation evening at East Bridgwater School on Thursday, March 13.
Bronze awards were presented to students participating in two-day expeditions on the Mendips and the Quantocks, while silver awards were presented to those who travelled to the Breacon Beacons and completed a demanding three-day trek in the hills.
British Para-Olympian Debbie Criddle presented the awards on the evening. Following a motorcycle accident, in which she lost an arm, she went on to compete for Great Britain in Horse Riding and won a gold medal for her inspiring efforts.
