ACTRESS and television presenter Lynda Bellingham, was buried in Somerset today (November 3).

The 66-year-old died last month after she lost her battle with colon cancer, which she was diagnosed with in July 2013.

Lynda had hoped to spend one more year at home for Christmas but sadly died on October 19 in hospital.

The funeral was held at St Bartholomew’s Parish Church in Crewkerne, where husband Michael comes from.

He had purchased a plot for the pair at the town's cemetery.

Guests included Loose Women colleagues Jane McDonald and Andrea McLean, actor Robert Lindsay, and Christopher Biggins.

A firework display will also take place in the town today.

Lynda was best known for her role as the mum in the long-running Oxo television adverts and more recently as a panellist on ITV’s Loose Women.

In her book “There’s Something I’ve Been Dying to Tell You”, she said she didn’t expect everyone to come “all the way down here to pay their respects” but added if they were passing to “drop in for a quick boogie.”
