THE Met Office has issued a severe weather warning of fog across Somerset from this evening (Wednesday) until tomorrow morning.
They have publishe a yellow warning alert, advising people to be aware, from 7pm today until 10am tomorrow, with a swathe of fog patches expected across the whole of the South West.
A spokesman said: "Patches of fog are likely to form readily in rural areas during Wednesday evening, becoming more widespread and locally dense overnight and at first on Thursday morning.
"Please be aware that low visibility could lead to extended journey times and difficult driving conditions in places."
The fog will initially develop in rural areas but become more extensive overnight, both at low levels and on the hills.
Visibility will be variable, but may be as liow as 50 to 100 metres in places.
The public is advised to take extra care.
