AN elderly man has gone missing after spending a caravan break in Somerset.

Police are searching for 84-year-old Tony Leggatt, who was reportedly in the Avon and Somerset force area last Thursday (May 4).

He has not been heard from for a week since setting out on his solo caravan trip to the South West. 

Sussex Police are concerned about the safety of Tony Leggatt, from Wivelsfield Green, near Haywards Heath, in Sussex.

While Mr Leggatt regularly takes caravan trips, he normally stays in contact with his family, who have not heard from him since Tuesday, May 2.

His car, a beige Renault Megane Scenic (HY03 ZKC) towing a caravan, is known to have been in Wiltshire on Wednesday, May 3, and Avon and Somerset on Thursday, May 4.

He was last located making a financial transaction in Dorset on Friday, May 5.

He is described as white, 5ft 9in, of stocky build, with short white hair and blue eyes.
