Boxing hero Anthony Joshua will support a fundraising drive for the late Seb Morris’ favourite club in Taunton.

Teachers, friends and family members paid tribute to Seb, 14, who tragically died at his family home in Creech St Michael last month.

Taunton Amateur Boxing Club was also left heartbroken by Seb’s death and funds are now being raised for it in his memory.

His cousin, Tia, Tweeted the world heavyweight champion the day after Seb’s funeral asking him to donate to the club.

The tweet read: “Yesterday (December 1) I attended the funeral of a 14-year-old boxer and close friend and the theme was Anthony Joshua.

“The music, the songs and the coffin were all wrapped with scenes from your fights.

“We have had a local collection in his memory for his local boxing club, Taunton ABC.

“Seb was your biggest fan and we would appreciate it if you could donate anything for us to the raffle to make money to remember our friend.”

And to her surprise, the boxing star replied saying he was ‘humbled’ by her message and would ‘sort something out.’

His tweet read: “Humbled by your message, sorry to hear of your loss. Can you DM me please and I'll sort something out. RIP Seb.”

Since Seb’s death, Taunton’s ABC boxing club have been fundraising for the boxing club in his memory and the club tweeted Joshua saying they want to use the funds raised from a charity auction to ‘to prevent this devastating tragedy happening again.’
