A THREE-vehicle crash has been causing delays on the M5 this morning.
The collision between a lorry and two cars happened on the southbound carriageway near junction 24 for Bridgwater.
Motorists faced 40 minute delays for much of the morning following the crash but the hard shoulder, lanes one and two have now re-opened.
A spokesman for the South Western Ambulance Service said: "The call was received at 8.32am to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision.
"There was one male patient with back pain and a leg injury."
One ambulance was sent to the scene and the casualty was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton.
