BURNHAM continued in their high-scoring vein in this friendly match during the league break.

With Kayleigh West making her first appearance for the Bues, Burnham enjoyed the majority of the possession and took an early lead they never looked like surrendering.

Excellent work from Kerry Harvey down the right provided the perfect cross to the top of the D for where Alannah Frost was waiting to place her shot expertly in the corner.

June England then scored the goal of the game as she drove into the right-hand side of the D and struck a ferocious shot across the keeper into the far corner.

England popped up to double her tally with a simple tap-in after Tracey Dunn’s shot to give Burnham a 3-0 lead at half time.

In the second half, they picked up where they had left off as Nicki Glanville and Sarah Johnson combined well to set up Lousie Peace down the right and her ball was greatly received by Harvey who smashed it past the keeper.

Harvey had the chance for an almost identical second goal, which she took with great confidence to wrap up the Burnham scoring before Clevedon got a late consolation.

Players of match: Kerry Harvey and June England, sponsored by The Rosewood.

Burnham resume league action on Saturday when they travel to Taw Valley (11.15 start).
