BURNHAM progressed to the semi final of the Woodspring League Cup after a comfortable 5-0 away victory over local rivals Burnbridge.

Both teams found the boggy pitch difficult to play decent football but Burnham had the cutting edge in front of goal with Charlie Hughes scoring twice and Dan Rosser scoring once to make the score at half time 3-0.

Burnham had a number of chances to increase the score but had to wait until the last ten minutes with a long distance shot from Darren Partridge and a fine strike from Elliott Nix finding the top corner to round off the win.

Burnham are once again away to Burnbridge this Sunday (February 10) in the league.
