DRIVING rain and south easterly winds meant an uncomfortable open match for the anglers on the Westpool.
Popular bait by most anglers being maggot, it was going to be a tough afternoon.
First place was Steve Howell (peg 12, 40lb 1oz), second went to Johnny Page(peg 15, 39lb 9oz), third was claimed by Dominic Sullivan (peg 3, 25lb 7oz) and the silvers went to Tom Light (peg 7, 7lb 4oz).
Another local club held a match on the Main Lake giving rewarding results. In first place was Eric Searle (peg 1, 70lb 4oz) and silvers went to Andy Butt (peg 3, 31lb 4oz).
