AVENUE Tennis Club head coach Vinny Duddy and eight-year-old Tom Spinks played out an incredible rally of 694 shots this week - a club record.

The previous record of 224 was smashed and the club want others to try and beat it.

Junior Coaching takes place every night of the week and on Saturdays for all ages and all abilties; see website for further details or give the office a ring on 01278-782758.

Group coaching for adults takes place on Fridays 6.30pm to 8pm and on Saturdays 2pm to 3.30pm.

The next adult social competition is on Sunday, February 24 from 10.30am, non members are welcome to attend and play where they will also run the Mini Red (under eight's) and Orange (eight to nine year olds) tournaments from 11am and 1pm respectively.
