A SIX wicket haul for Gemaal Hussain was one of the highlights of Somerset Seconds four day friendly against Glamorgan at Taunton Vale which they lost by 52 runs.

After opting to field first Hussain struck in his first over and Lewis Gregory grabbed four wickets as Somerset reduced their visitors to 182 for eight before the ninth wicket partnership of 92 to see them end on 254 all out.

Fit again wicket-keeper James Regan claimed five catches.

Gregory ended with four for 64, Adam Dibble three for 42 while Hussain had two for 35.

Somerset in reply scored 255 all out Cameron Steel top scoring with 37, Suppiah making 36, Max Waller 28, James Regan 24 while Adam Dibble remained unbeaten on 28.

Batting for a second time Glamorgan were all out for 288 Hussain ending with the impressive figures of 24 overs, five maidens six for 88, while Meschede ended with three for 60.

Chasing a target of 288 to win Somerset were bowled out for 235 Suppiah making 51, Alex Barrow 49, Gregory 33, Meschede 30, Will Jenkins 26 and an unbeaten 22 by Waller.
