THE April stableford was won with a great score of 40 points by Dave Gummer.

Three players then on 39 points, Martin Dunton, Neil Folland & Neil Darby. Division 2 was won on count back with 36 points by Frank Ryan ahead of Stephen Reading, Tim Osbourne & Steve Longmoor.

The April medal was won by Gordon Copley with a terrific 78-10=68, two ahead of Taylor Stote 75-5=70 with Thomas Barker 79-8=71 in third. Division 2 was won by Frank Ryan who's 82-15=67 was the best nett score of the day, Martyn Milverton was second with 85-15=70 and Alan Hughes third with 85-13=72. CSS on the day 73.

In dreadful weather conditions on Saturday, Chris Hill won the Tompkinson Cup with a fantastic score of 38 points. This was two clear of Adrian Deakins with 36 points, Richard Turner in third, two points further back with 34.

The Avalon team have gotten off to a very good start in Division 2. Two home wins against Windwhistle A and Vivary Park in the first two matches got the ball rolling and a valuable 6 points were gained in the third match, a narrow 3-2 defeat away to local rivals Brean.

Ladies News - BDLGA Alliance: first match of the season against Thornbury at home was won 12-2.
