AFTER last week's Medal result was dominated by Division One players, it was the turn of the Second Division to produce the best scores in December's Monthly Stableford.

Pete Dunn had a stunning back nine to total 44 points and return the best score of the day by some distance.

He headed Steve Mason by five in winning the second flight and securing the final award of the calendar year.

Yet again a Broom featured in the winner's enclosure with Roger taking his turn in the limelight after his 39 point score won him the third Division by three from Gordy Wheelaghan.

Andy Thomas overcame his troublesome niggling back injury to take victory over his good friend Paul McLanaghan in Division One with a score of 37 points.

Club Chairman Tony Roper was the victor in the final Seniors Medal of the year with a nett 67.

The mist hung around for a short time after play had started but it didn't affect Roper as he beat his handicap by 3 to win by one.

He also recorded the only two of the event at the par 3 17th, which is being very kind to him of late with this being the third birdie in the last month he has scored there.

The lowest gross score of the day was compiled by Barrie Yearsley as he took 78 strokes to complete the round. With his handicap of 10 deducted he just missed out tying the leading score and had to be content with the runners up prize.

Third place was secured by Mike Allen after his nett 69.
