Berrow 2, Street Reserves 2

BERROW were held to a 2-2 draw by relegated Street Reserves at Red Road on Saturday.

The home side surrendered a two-goal lead after a Jack Taylor double had fired Berrow ahead.

Berrow took an early lead when Jack Taylor took advantage of a mistake from Street ’keeper Matt Haines to walk the ball into an empty net.

They doubled their lead on the half-hour mark when Haines’ scuffed clearance found Taylor and the striker doubled his tally with the simplest of finishes.

But Street awoke after the break and pulled themselves back into the contest with a goal from Lee Begg.

The goal revitalised Street and only ‘keeper Nick Stack ensured that Berrow remained ahead – Stack did brilliantly to tip a Jamie Brown shot over the crossbar.

Ross McErlain volleyed inches over the Street crossbar at the other end, but Street scored a deserves equaliser with five minutes to play, as Steve Osgood turned Gavin Seaward’s cross into his own net.
