BURNHAM lost 112-70 to Wyrral Park (Glastonbury) in a mixed friendly when they fell apart after tea.
There was one winning rink, the captain’s, but with three rinks losing heavily the result was inevitable.
In the over-60s league (men), Clarence Gold lost 137-66 to Burnham.
With an outstanding score on one rink, and a draw and two wins on the others, Burnham came away just a point short of a maximum.
In the Western District League (ladies). Clarence Park beat Burnham 62-35.
Burnham found their opponents on two rinks too strong, but the third rink gave them a little more success, winning by three shots.
Burnham lost 63-42 to Eastover Park in a men’s friendly, while in the Victoria League North Petherton defeated Burnham Ladies 59-47.
In a mixed friendly, Bridgwater beat Burnham 113-103.
In the county league division 1N (men), Burnham A beat Isle of Wedmore 77-36, while in Division 3N (men) Burnham B overcame Victoria (Weston) 64-57.
