GRAHAM Exton made a winning return with a 43 point score in the final qualifying Super Series event AT Brean Golf Club.

This gave him a three shot winning advantage over Ian Adams who himself edged out Gordy Wheelaghan on countback.

Exton also bagged himself the Two's pot by recording the only one of the day at the 17th.

Graham has been suffering with some foot problems in recent months which have severely restricted his visits to Brean Golf Club.

Sheila Rouse retained her Lady Secretary's Shanker title after a 36 point haul.

The rules of the competition only allow two clubs and a putter to be selected for use over the round - and despite this restriction, Rouse matched her handicap.

Runner Up was Annie Williams with 33 but Williams did however record the only two which came at the short ninth.

The Brean team bowed out of the Somerset Bowl on Friday evening. Having reached the quarter finals they lost to Isle of Wedmore at Burnham and Berrow GC.

The Brean Seniors endured another defeat on the road and this time relinquished the possession of the KingBrean Trophy. They were whitewashed 6-0 by their hosts in the away leg of the tie and will be hoping for better luck next year when they meet again.
