A BRILLIANT, unbeaten stand of 209 between James Hildreth (146 not) and Lewis Gregory (105 not) has just rocketed Somerset to a thrilling five wicket victory over Durham in the Royal London One-Day Cup at the County Ground.

The Cidermen looked dead and buried as they slumped to 106-5 in the 23rd over chasing a formidable total of 311-7.

But Hildreth and Gregory were in no mood to surrender and saw Somerset home with 20 balls to spare, Gregory hitting the last three balls of the innings for four.

Paul Collingwood earlier made 113 for Durham.
