POACHERS’ Chris Jays racked up a total of 90 which included five spares at the Lympsham Pavilion in Division 1 of the Highbridge & District Skittles League.

With fellow skittlers Darren Marsden 72 and Steve McCann 78, Poachers rattled up a total of 548 which left the Cowboys trailing by 41 pins, despite the efforts of Jack Luff who scored 91 for the Cowboys.

The victory means Poachers are top, two points ahead of Off The Rails, Shunters and Steamers.

Steamers defeated the Tryer’s by 28 at the Victoria Hotel thanks to the efforts of Graham Blake 79 and Ian Skinner 70.

Lads remain pointless after they were beaten by Odds & Ends at the George Hotel, losing by 20, Jerry Bird top scoring with 82.

In Division 2, Robins defeated Four Finger Club by 31 at the Coopers Arms. Rouges had a very good victory over Crown Criminals at the Crown Inn, winning by 27, with Barry Hale scoring 74.

In Division 3, White Rebels remain the only unbeaten side in the league. This week they saw off Misfits by 14 at the Basonbridge Inn.

Brothers Richard and Gary Wall scored 76 and 75, Paul Bagg replied with 74 for the Misfits.

Outcasts are second, they defeated Juniors by seven at Ritz Social Club.

In Division 4, Athlectico Madritz and Rafascals are joint top.

Madritz defeated Coopermen by eight at Ritz Social Club, captain Dave Keirle top scoring with 73 and Jason Broom scoring 78 for the visitors.

Rafascals easily defeated Berrow Basics by 53 at Pawlett Legion, Ollie Barnes topping the board with 77.
