SYDENHAM Rangers have made it nine wins from nine in Division 3 of the Taunton & District Saturday League with a 5-3 victory over local rivals Bridgwater Sports Reserves.

Cameron Wilkinson hit a hattrick and Jake Adey added a pair. Gareth Monaghan and Josh Champion responded for Sports with John Wilde scoring from the penalty spot.

In Division 2, Nether Stowey suffered a heavy 9-0 defeat at Dulverton Town, with Adam Kelland scored a hat trick.

Bridgwater Grasshoppers slipped to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of unbeaten Creech Cougars, with Dan Saunders and Chris Thomas scoring for Hoppers.

North Petherton Reserves kept in touch with the leaders after a good 3-2 victory over the previously undefeated Ash Rangers.

Pethy took an early lead through Senna Clapp who then saw a penalty cannon back off the bar.

But Ash Rangers came back to take a 2-1 lead at half time with goals from Tom Wadham and Harvey Puddy.

Pethy rallied in the second half and a Shane Jolly header drew them level before Clapp sealed the win against his former club.

Middlezoy Athletic lost 2-1 at home to Porlock Reserves for whom Mickey Norman scored twice, Aaron Phillips got the Zoy goal.

In the Knock Out Cup, Nether Stowey put up a good fight against Division 1side Bishops Lydeard Reserves but lost 2-3.

James Rowley scored for Stowey and Lydeard provided the other.

Division 1 leaders Locomotives dropped a point at Middlezoy Rovers where they drew 2-2.

There was no score in the first period then Luke Oliver opened the scoring for Locos with a volley.

Scott Turner got Rovers back level with a header but freekick expert Ryan Vickery put Locos back in front.

Ensuring they got something from the game, Rovers came back a second time from a Paul Goss finish with five minutes to go.

Bridgwater Sports’ 3-1 victory over Bishops Lydeard ensured they closed the gap on the leaders. Matt Fursland struck twice and Paul Organ once, Dave Richardson responded for Lydeard.

In Division 5, The Gallery Reserves stay top after winning a ten-goal thriller against Bridgwater Wolves 6-4.

Bridgwater Sports Colts beat Norton Fitzwarren Reserves 3-1 with a goal apiece from Ed Howes, Craig Savage and Kevin Curran.

Morganians Reserves scored three times against Hamilton Athletic Foxes but only won the game 2-1 as one of them was at the wrong end; Scott Briffett got the other two at the right end.
