Somerset County Premier

Berrow 1, Fry Club 2

BERROW'S recent revival was halted on Saturday by the visit of Fry Club, however they can count themselves incredibly unfortunate not to come out the game with at least a point with a relatively good performance.

Scott Lismore scored Berrow's only goal of the game, but they were unable to find an all important second.

The visitors took the lead in a half of few chances, but Berrow were pressing well without the ball, but lacked quality when in possession.

Fry extended their lead with a well taken free kick early in the second half, which cued an onslaught on the visitor's goal.

Berrow hit back when Luke McErlain fed Scott Lismore from a short corner and he curled a cross shot into the top corner.

Berrow huffed and puffed but the visitors stood firm, with some, at times impressive and at times desperate defending.

The hosts were in control with their back line mopping up any threat from Fry.

Berrow were unable to get the break through their efforts deserved and were left to rue what could have been.

Credit must also go to the visitors who were a well drilled outfit and will surely continue to climb the table.
