Nailsea Town 1, Berrow 2

BERROW came from behind to secure an all-important away win at Nailsea Town on Saturday.

Scott Lismore and Dave Keirle netted second half goals for the visitors, having fallen behind before the break.

Berrow started pretty well on a decent pitch without making any clear cut chances in the opening 10 minutes.

Jack Smith went close with a header after a corner wasn't cleared and later on, Dave Keirle couldn't turn his pass past the keeper.

Berrow were working hard to regain the ball from the home side who were attempting to play out from the back - but with Scott Lismore, Luke McErlain and Ash Catlow on top form in midfield, Berrow were well on top.

After a good break from Taylor, Keirle's shot was blocked before a neat one-two between Lismore and Taylor led to Catlow having a chance, but he was unable to get enough on his shot.

Having dominated the half but not taken their chances, Berrow were punished in the last minute when a forward broke away from Byron Lismore and scuffed his shot past Nick Slack.

The second-half saw an improvement in quality from Berrow - with their passing and movement much quicker the home side were struggling to contain them and when Lismore won a free kick 25 yards from goal, they drew level.

Luke McErlain played the ball in behind the wall for Lismore to run on and strike through the keepers legs for a goal straight off the training ground.

Berrow piled forward sensing they could get a second and it arrived on 55 minutes Taylor crossing, Smith flicking on and Keirle finished well at the back post.

Berrow continued to dominate possession and territory with the game being played in the Nailsea half.

On the odd occasion town did break forward Kyle McErlain, Byron Lismore, Steve Osgood and Gass dealt with the threat leaving slack untroubled.

Despite all the possession Berrow didn't create many chances due to some committed defending, Taylor was taken out when through on goal, the defender lucky to only see yellow.

Luke Morgan and Jack Shepherd both came into the game and contributed to a good all round team performance.
