Cutters Friday 3, Berrow 2

A DEPLETED Berrow side left Bristol empty-handed after a late goal condemned them to a 13th league defeat of the season.

Jack Taylor and Byron Lismore levelled the scores for Berrow after they had fallen 2-0 behind, but they were unable to prevent a late third from the hosts.

Missing no fewer than seven first team regulars due to injury, work and other commitments but the players that came in to replace them gave performances that will give manager Ryan McErlain a real selection headache next week.

Berrow went two down in the first half but a slight formation tweak saw Berrow come out for the second half in much more determined mood.

Top scorer Jack Taylor added to his already bulging tally of goals when he charged down a poor back pass from the home centre back.

With their tails up, it was all Berrow pressure as they laid siege to the Cutters’ goal.

They levelled when good work from Steve Osgood and Scott Lismore allowed Byron Lismore the time and space to shoot and he found the top corner.

However their hard work was to be undone as a third, sloppy goal was to be conceded to which there was no answer.
