FORMER Burnham players Mako and Billy Vunipola both featured for England in Saturday’s 47-17 demolition of Italy at Twickenham.
Number eight Billy powered his way over for England’s first try of the afternoon after a neat line-out interchange, while prop Mako was a 72nd minute substitute, coming on for Joe Marler.
The pair, who represented Burnham at different levels and now ply their trade in London with Saracens, also played big parts in England’s memorable victory over Wales in Cardiff the weekend before.
The giant siblings’ uncle, Elisi – a former Tongan international – is a current member of the Burnham squad.
Mako, 24, was a member of the 2013 British & Irish Lions squad who beat Australia 2-1 in the three-match series last summer and has made 16 appearances for his country.
Billy, 22, has 13 caps and made his England debut during their summer tour of Argentina.
