IT’S going to be a festival of football at Burnham United on Saturday as it hosts two cup finals in one day.

The Bay Club hosts the Davis Shield final at 11.30am, between Hutton reserves and Westend Reserves – before staging the Challenge Cup final between Banwell Reserves and KVFC at 3.30pm.

Tonight sees the final of the Mavis Tate cup, between the Taunton and District League and the Weston and District League at Street FC, 7.30pm kick-off.

Elsewhere, Cleeve West Town Reserves and Portishead Caledonian Thistle contest the Knockout Cup final at Cheddar (3.30pm KO), with the Charity Cup final between Clevedon United A and St George E-in-G proceeding it.

Last weekend also saw a number of cup finals, as Portiishead Town A beat Banwell Reserves 4-0 to take the Atwell Shield – and Clapton in Gordano were 5-1 winners over Kewstoke Lions Reserves in the Vardon Cup final.

Clevedon United B lost out by the odd goal in seven to South Park Rangers Reserves in the Keyes Cup – and in the Hospital Cup, Draycott beat Nailsea United A 2-0.

In league action, Burnham United A signed off the season with a 5-1 defeat at Churchill Club 70.

United finished the season rock bottom of Division Two and ten points adrift, having won just two of their 20 games.

In Division Three, Wedmore sealed a third place finish with a 3-1 win at Banwell Reserves, while Shipham drew 4-4 with Wrington Redhill Reserves.
