HIGHBRIDGE Town battled back from a goal down to thump Chard Town Reserves 6-1 in the first round of the Somerset Senior Cup.
Matt Pitt’s side fell behind on 20 minutes but fought back to book their place in the second round.
Scott Harman and Adam Lock bagged two goals each for Town, while Matt Scott and Chris Taylor completed the rout.
Highbridge will host Westfield in the second round on November 7.
They travel to Saltford on Saturday in the Second Division Cup before returning to league action on October 17, when Uphill Castle are the visitors.
Highbridge Town reserves suffered a 3-1 defeat to East Bower in Division Four of the Taunton and District Saturday League.
Joe Kensley scored for Town, but goals from Mike Watts, Mason Gill and Jack Edwards sealed the points for Bower.
Burnham United were knocked out of the Senior Cup by Frome Town Sports, going down 2-0 at the Old Showfield.
Burnham travel to Brislington Reserves in the Premier/First Division Cup on Saturday, before hosting Congresbury in the league on October 17.
In Somerset Division Two West, Burnham United Reserves were beaten 4-1 by Clevedon United Reserves.
Mike Burnell was on target for Burnham – Dan Fowler (2), Max James and Russell Gregory scored for Clevedon.
