BOS 0 Somerset Gryphons 4
BURNHAM put in a decent performance against higher league opposition in a friendly this week.
They had to work harder up and down the pitch just to stay with Gryphs, but did create some openings of their own.
Despite going a goal down they had opportunities to equalise before Gryphs really pulled away.
Carly Bush and Amy Edmundson combined well after being put through on goal by Nicky Glanville's superb through ball - and Sarah Johnson almost converted Tracey Dunn's strike from a short corner.
Playing on the counter attack appeared Burnham's best chance of scoring and Glanville was certainly finding her range with some cracking passes from the back.
Bush rounded the GK and smacked her shot wide but unfortunately they went into the break two goals down.
Imogen Wright played well in defence and is improving every week in her new position.
Gk Sian Kelly made some vital saves but couldn't stop another two going in as the Blues tired late on.
Player of the match was Imogen Wright.
Burnham return to the league action next (November 7) away to ECVH.
Training continues at King Alfreds on Mondays from 7-9pm.
