SOMERSET all-rounder Josh Davey has been named in the Scotland squad for the ICC World T20 in India in March.

Davey, who took 15 wickets at last year's World Cup, is part of a 15-man squad for the tournament, which gets under way on March 8.

Preston Mommsen will lead his side into three first round matches against Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Hong Kong in Nagpur, alongside Kyle Coetzer who has been named as vice captain.

Former Scotland U19 cricketer Gavin Main, who is currently in New Zealand, is the only addition to the squad that has not been on the recent tour to Hong Kong and Dubai.

Scotland will depart for Pune on February 22 for an intensive training camp before moving up to Mohali for two official warm up events against Oman and the Netherlands.

On the announcement of the squad, head coach Grant Bradburn said: "It is great to be announcing an extremely strong and well balanced T20 squad for India.

"We have an excellent mix of youth and experience across the squad, with every player offering dynamic specific skills in this format.

"Competition for places in the final 15 has been hotly contested and everyone has great respect for the quality of players in the wider squad.

"India presents a huge challenge for the team, however, it also presents a fantastic opportunity which we are all looking forward to.

"We have five warm-up fixtures in India to adapt to conditions and to complete our team preparation to unleash our very best skills, at this global tournament."
