BURNHAM United now sit in tenth place in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One going in to 2023.

It has been a mixed campaign so far for Burnham as they started very well but have seen a drop in form as the year progressed.

Their first four games featured three wins which saw them sit close to the top of the table in August.

However since then they will quite regularly go on a win one, lose one run which has seen them drop down to tenth place.

Still, not a terrible spot to be in going into the New Year as the side has a couple of games in hand on most sides above them in the league table.

Jaymie Whitehouse has been the clubs top goalscorer in all competitions with four goals. Meanwhile Curtis Bradshaw and Russell Holley both have four.

Benjamin Windram has been the mainstay in the squad having started 12 of the teams 15 fixtures so far this season.

The squad has got enough depth and strength to finish higher up the table come the end of the season.

What has been hard for them this season is maintaining momentum in their fixtures.

Throughout December they have played just once, due to a number of postponed matches, meaning the side have been unable to play regular football.

Burnham United's first match of 2023, is away from home on January 7; they travel to Staplegrove FC for a 2pm kick off.
