Fishing event in memory of Tony

A NEW annual competition starts on Sunday, June 21 in memory of Sedgemoor man Tony Criddle, who was well known in the local reservoir fishing community.

The Tony Criddle Memorial Fly Fishing Competition takes place at Wimbleball Lake and is an informal event open to all fly fishers.

There will be a trophy for the overall winner and free club membership – to the Wimbleball Flyfishers – for the highest placed non-member.

Entrants should meet at the fishing hut at Wimbleball at 9am.

Fishing takes place between 10am and 4pm, with the weigh-in and prizegiving at the hut at 4.30pm.

Entry to non-members is the cost of a standard bank ticket, £20, with reduced rates for OAPs.
