Burns night gets Avenue off to a smashing start in 2010

A RABBIE Burns night was the first social event of the year at Burnham’s Avenue Tennis Club.

Members got into the spirit by dressing up in traditional Scottish costume.

Head coach Vinny Duddy said the night, organised by new social chairman Julie Cameron, was a huge success.

The club is still seeking a new chairman and vice-chairman.

For more details, contact current chairman Gordon Hunter or the club office.

The next junior tennis camp will take place between 9am and 3pm, every day between February 15-19.

The Avenue Tennis Club is also offering new members 14 months’ membership for the price of 12.

For more details, phone membership secretary Di Dimond on 07979-227866, or click on the link by this story to access the club website.
