East Hunstpill 143 rain affected draw with Trull 9-0

EAST Huntspill took on Trull with the home side being asked to bat on a wet wicket with the ball not coming on.
Openers M Cooke (0) and Derek Kidner (0) found it hard going and when A Chedzey was bowled for 36 in the 22nd over with 53 on the board, J Melhuish (0) and R Pomeroy (1) soon parted.
M Edwards (23) popped one up to silly mid off and I Cooke top scored with an unbeaten 38 but was out in the 38th over with 131 on the board.
D Adams (17) was bowled, K Stamp (3) and Luke Bale (0) were run out not facing a ball which left L Adams (4 not out) stranded and Huntspill 143 all out in the 41st over.
After tea, Trull only faced six overs, scoring 9-0 before rain stopped play.
