PLAYING away at Stockwood Vale, the Burnham Avalon League team halved their match and pushed themselves into second place in Division 3.
With away games attracting more points, the halved match added a valuable 8.5 points and it could have been better with the final pairing of Justine Lane and Steve O'Connell looking to have got the better of their opposition with a few holes to go.
They had to settle for a half after some miraculous putting by their opponents.
The winning pairs were Jim Vearncombe and Adam Smith and Glyn Petrie and Andy Fisher. The other pairs of Neil Darby and Martin Wilkins and Martin Dunton and Stuart Jones also enjoyed close matches. The next match is at home to Windwhistle on Sunday, July 1.
