PAKISTANI spinner Abdur Rehman ended with match figures of 14-101 - the best County Championship figures of the season - as Somerset thrashed Worcestershire by an innings and 148 runs at the County Ground yesterday.
Nick Compton also confirmed his position as the leading first-class run scorer in English cricket this season with 1,494 runs at an average of 99.60.
Relegated Worcestershire were dismissed for 152, despite Alexei Kervezee's 76.
Rehman, who took 9-65 in the first innings, claimed 5-36 in the second as Somerset eased to victory. The result sees Somerset finish second in Division One.
