BERROW Reserves moved up to third place in the Weston and District Division One table following their narrow 1-0 win over Winscombe Reserves.

The win takes them nicely in their Atwell Shield Preliminary Round match at home to Weston Super Seagulls on Saturday.

In Division Three, Wedmore produced their first league win of the season with an emphatic display to beat Cheddar ‘A’ 5-1.

The win catapults them up to sixth spot ahead of a home clash with Westend this weekend.

Division Five side Burnham United ‘B’ suffered less fortune as they fell 8-0 at home to St George Easton in Gordano ‘A’.

It was the team’s first match of the 2012-13 campaign and they will have to turn things around quickly when they travel to Portishead Town Colts on Saturday.

Finally, in Division Six, Wedmore Reserves drew 2-2 with Clapton in Gordano and have no game this weekend.
