BERROW extended their unbeaten start to the season to six matches with a gritty win.

Connor Watts continued his fine goal scoring run when he rounded the keeper on ten minutes after a good ball through.

Watts and Luke Morgan missed chances to double that lead as Berrow dominated the first 20 minutes.

But the home side were let back into the game on 35 minutes with a good strike from 20 yards after earlier coming close only to be denied by the woodwork.

Harry Penfold came close to scoring just before half time with a header just clearing the bar as the sides entered the break at 1-1.

The second half was pretty even for the first 20 minutes with few chances as both teams struggled on the long playing surface.

But Watts saved the day with a great finish from ten yards to claim the win.

Berrow could have wrapped the game up after Watts won a penalty, but Luke McErlain’s spot kick was well saved.
