Huntspill to run four youth teams and a girls' side

HUNTSPILL & District Cricket Club have entered four teams in the Taunton & District Youth League for the coming season and also a team in the newly-formed girls' league.

Practice nights begin on Wednesday next week (Apr 23), 6-7pm for under-13s, 7-8pm for under-15s. Under-11s start practice on Thursday, April 24 from 6-7 pm.

All the sessions are led by qualified ECB coaches. For more information, contact Amanda Counsell on (01278) 785324 or John Davey (01278) 784435.

At senior level, Huntspill & District 1st XI are looking forward to the challenge of a higher division. Captained by Matt Counsell, they hope to build on the success of the last two seasons.

The 2nd Xl will be captained by Rob Biggs and will continue to develop the younger members of the club through into senior cricket.
