BURNHAM II slumped to a 20-12 defeat at the hands of Somerton on Saturday.
Somerton raced into a 10-0 lead through a penalty and a try from their inside centre.
Elliot Donnelly then finished off a sweeping move to bring Burnham back into the game and the sides headed into half-time with the score at 10-5.
Shortly after the break, Dan Spellman crossed for a converted try to put the hosts into the lead for the first time in the match.
But Somerton hit back again with a penalty before a break out try against the run of play sealed the win.
# CLUB members are to take note that any unpaid club membership is now overdue and must be settled by November 30.
