BERROW Primary won the Sedgemoor Area Primary Schools' Tag to Twickenham tournament at Bridgwater & Albion Rugby Club's ground last Thursday.
More than 120 year six (aged ten and 11) players took part and Berrow reached the final, in which they beat Westonzoyland with a try in extra time. They received their trophy from Mike Tewkesbury, Bridgwater & Albion's director of rugby
They now go forward to the county finals in Glastonbury on May 23. Berrow won their place in the area finals by winning the King Alfred tournament last month.
It has been a successful sporting year for the school, who have reached the county finals in girls' football and the boys' team are about to play in the semi-finals of the Polden Hills Cup.
