IT was the turn of the Two Ball Betterball Bogey as the format for the Seniors Winter League last week.

On a bright Tuesday morning a large entry turned out and the draw was made for partners.

Over the 15 holes that the seniors play their Winter League over the winners were George Thomas and John Sherwood with a +6 score.

They held a one hole advantage over Tony Roper and Dai Wood who shaded a countback with Barrie Tucker and Ian Welch as second and third spots were decided.

Tony Romeo won the main club Winter League round on Saturday with a 42 point score.

He edged out Phil Hodgson by one point on a day when a few temporary greens had to be deployed after heavy overnight rain.

Despite that the drainage of the course continues to work well and the course played well.

Third place went to Dave Bradley on 39.

Roger Vaughan was the clear winner of the second Winter League round of the weekend as he carded 41 points.

He held a 5 point winning margin over Barrie Tucker and Ian Adams on 36 with Tucker wining the countback for the runners up sweep money on the back nine.
