BERROW’s bid for Somerset County League Premier Division survival resumes after a three-week absence on Saturday as they travel to Staplegrove (ko 3pm).

The break from league action has not provided them with a confidence boost, however, as they have exited both the Somerset Senior Cup and the Premier and First Division Cup in the last fortnight.

Berrow are without a win in any competition in 2017 and now begin the first of a tricky sequence of five consecutive away games.

Staplegrove will be tough opponents for the out-of-form side, with the hosts currently sitting fifth.

Berrow, on the other hand, are second from bottom but have several games in hand.

In Division 1W, Burnham United welcome fourth-placed Somerton Town looking to get back on track after slipping to a home defeat last time out.

Elsewhere in the same division, Highbridge Town travel to face struggling Glastonbury searching for the win that would take them nine points clear of the bottom two.

Burnham United Reserves will be hoping to record their second surprise away victory in as many weeks as they travel to Clevedon United Reserves in Division 2W.

Having climbed out of the bottom two courtesy of beating high-flying Weston St Johns last weekend, United will be full of confidence ahead of their trip to the seaside.

In Division Four of the Weston & District League, Burnham United A travel to third-placed Selkirk United as they follow up their hard-fought 1-1 draw at Cheddar A on Saturday.

Highbridge Town Reserves, meanwhile, are involved in a crunch match of the bottom of Division Four of the Taunton & District Saturday League.

Town, who currently sit second bottom, know that a win will see them leapfrog their opponents North Petherton Reserves as both look to avoid propping up the bottom division.
