HUNTSPILL made it five wins out of five thanks to a strong batting performance and a fine all-round display from Sam Lillycrop.

Lillycrop took 4-32 to restrict East Coker to 186-8, before scoring a quickfire 59 to guide Huntspill to a seven wicket victory.

Batting first, East Coker raced their way to 50 within the first ten overs, before a mix-up saw the dangerous Rowe run out.

The introduction of Lillycrop, together with Organ (1-29) stemmed the flow of runs as wickets fell at regular intervals. Lillycrop’s four wickets reduced East Coker to 86-6, but 62 from Willingale helped his side to a respectable total.

In reply, Huntspill started strongly with openers Lillycrop (59) and Cavill (45) scoring freely and punishing any loose deliveries.

The pair brought up their 100 run partnership before Lillycrop was dismissed in the 17th over with the score on 113; the batsman miscuing a full toss straight to a fielder.

Cavill fell shortly after for a well made 45, but a powerful 20 from Crawford edged Huntspill closer to their target.

Crawford was out in the same manner as Lillycrop, leaving Randall (25 not out) and Tippetts (9 not out) to see the side home with 16 overs to spare.

Next week Huntspill are away to Curry Rivel.
