LYMPSHAM Sunday Development X1 completed a comfortable eight wicket victory over East Huntspill on Sunday.
Captain Tom Gooding won the toss and put the opposition into bat. East Huntspill made a steady start and Lympsham had to wait until the 9th over when opener D Kidner holed out for 21.
From then on wickets fell regularly to L Morris ( 2 for 22) and T Ferns ( 4 for 21). At 70 for 7 East Huntspill looked in trouble until P Bagg (56) and P Spelman (57) decided attack was the best option and added over 100 before A Micklewright ( 1 for 14) came back to bowl Bagg and J Luff (1 for 12) removing Spelman with their innings finishing on 177.
In reply Lympsham lost A Hall early on and then C Scriven and T Gooding stroked the ball around adding 125 before Scriven was out for a fine 95. Gooding (53no) and J Luff (16no) then combined to see Lympsham home with 8 wickets to spare.
