Somerset League Division 9NW - Huntspill & District 2nd XI 172 lost to East Huntspill 2nd XI 173-2 by eight wickets
EAST Huntspill cruised to an eight-wicket victory over rivals Huntspill and District on Saturday.
Huntspill and District could only manage 172, as K. Watts (3-36), G. Gass (2-29) and P. Spelman (3-34) blew away the middle-order.
Dickson-Bell (38) and J. Peace (32 not out) carried East Huntspill up to a respectable total but it was far from being enough as Huntspill and District knocked it off with great ease.
D. West (56 not out) and J Melhuish (53 not out) guided the visitors home with more than 14 overs to spare to seal a comfortable victory.
Garner (1-21) and Berry (1-29) were the only wicket-takers for Huntspill and District as the bowlers struggled to make regular inroads.
