A DESTRUCTIVE spell of bowling from Jack Luff helped Lympsham to a comfortable eight-wicket victory over Burnham on Sunday.
Luff ripped through the Burnham batting line-up to finish with figures of 6-9 as Burnham slumped to 121 all out. In reply, Lympsham cruised home thanks to a half-century from Rich Ford (59).
Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Burnham got off to a great start with B House and A Ashfold (19) putting on 59 before losing the first wicket.
P Harris (25) joined House and the pair took the Burnham score past 100, before a double bowling change produced a spectacular collapse.
Max Gregory (3-14) picked up the dangerous House for 47, and Man of the Match Jack Luff ripped through the Burnham batting with a fine display of pace bowling as they were bowled out for 121.
The Lympsham reply got off to a steady start with Rich ford and Tom Counsell (14) seeing off the opening attack and adding 53, before T Counsell was out.
R Ford (59) went onto complete a much needed half-century, and very nearly saw Lympsham home.
But it was left to Tom Gooding 20 not out and Felix Granfield (9not) to see Lympsham home by eight wickets.
