BURNHAM kept up the pressure on the top two in Somerset Cricket League Division 3, with a seven wicket victory over Wellington II on Saturday.

The home side successfully chased down Wellington's total of 167 with relative ease, as Brad House (50) and Rob Driver (55not) both hit half-centuries.

M Green (3-29) and Driver (2-52) made the early inroads into the Wellington line-up, before Brogden (2-50) and Booth (1-14) cleaned up the lower order to bowl Wellington out for just 167.

The Burnham reply proved to be a very comfortable one as House and Bloodworth (30) got them off to a flying start.

Bloodworth was the first to go, but his dismissal brought Driver to the crease and he and House continued to pile on the runs.

House departed shortly after reaching his fifty, but the damage had already been done.

Harris (27not) joined Driver and the pair cruised home with seven overs to spare to seal their ninth victory of the season.
