THE wet weather accounted for a lot of the area's cricket this weekend - but two games were played in the Somerset Cricket League.
In Division Eight South, Kevin Watts was in majestic form with the bat, smashing an unbeaten 135 as East Huntspill II beat Wembdon Academy by 128 runs.
D West added 74 not out to provide Watts with solid support, as Easts amassed 245-1 batting first.
Before P Spelman (6-58) ran through the Wembdon line-up to return impressive figures.
In Division Five, it was a disappointing afternoon for East Huntspill's first XI, as they slumped to a nine wicket defeat at the hands of Cheddar II.
Batting first, noly K Butt reached double figures as Easts were all out for 61 - Cheddar were rarely troubled in reply, reaching their target with nine wickets and a bucketful of overs to spare.
