HAWKRIDGE is still fishing well, with plenty of fish showing on the surface all over the lake, and anglers averaging 2.4 fish per rod.

Some nice fish were caught this week which included a 4lb 14oz Golden Trout (Gerald Hector), 3lb 10oz Brown Trout and a 3lb 2oz Blue Trout (Denis Enticott).

Paul Woodley had the heaviest bag limit weighing 16lb 8oz which included a 4lb Rainbow, G. Saunders had a five-fish limit weighing 13lb 14oz.

Fishing the shallows from boats is highly recommended. Anglers who fish floating lines with Diawl Bach, Damsel, Daddy’s or Fry Patterns returned with good catches.

l A good week at Clatworthy again. Best bags were caught by B. Hawkins, his five fish weighed 16lb 5oz which included a 5lb 11oz rainbow.

W. Robinson had a good bag weighing 16lb 3oz. Best four-fish limit was caught by D. Prescott, weighing in at 10lb 4oz.

Main tactics this week have been a mixture of intermediate and floating lines, with Montanas, Buzzers, Crunchers, with some Daddie’s starting to show as well.

Fish have been caught all over the reservoir from boat and bank so moving around is the best way.
